DDR3 is a memory product belonging to the SDRAM family. It offers higher operating performance and lower voltage than DDR2 SDRAM. It is the successor (eight times more powerful) of DDR2 SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory).
The biggest differences between DDR4 and DDR3 are three: 16-bit prefetch mechanism (8-bit for DDR3), the theoretical speed is twice that of DDR3 at the same core frequency; more reliable transmission specifications, data reliability is further improved; the operating voltage is reduced to 1.2V , more energy-saving.
DDR5 boasts nearly twice the transfer speed of DDR4, higher single-chip density, and a maximum capacity of 128GB per stick. A single DDR5 stick can support dual-channel memory, allowing professional users to experience more stable multi-threaded computing performance, meeting the demands of high-load scenarios such as 8K film and television production and AI training.
